Week three of packaging sushi

Week three of sushi packaging and the final product is closing in. Almost all the functions of the package have been designed and integrated onto the package.

 The sushi package when opened

We have given the small boxes a color scheme that we have taken from the sushi itself. The chopsticks have been package to make the handle more hygienic and to integrate them more with the whole concept of the package. We added a tear-off function so you can easily get them out of the package and use them.   We have also done the packaging of the wasabi, ginger and soy. The wasabi and ginger package got the same tear-off function like the chopsticks and the soy package are done in transparent plastic so you know how much soy you have left.

The pictograms we use on the small boxes have been given a calligraphic look and we have decided to go with the shrimp, crab, fish and vegetables symbols because this is what the sushi contains.

De graphic design on the outside of the package haven’t been decided yet. We still have a lot of ideas and for the moment we are trying out the different ideas. Now we have a flower-ish pattern on the package but we are rethinking the design and we are going go with a more modern look and use the shapes and color of the small boxes in the graphic design.
