New twist on the Kim Hagelind design

Me and Rachel Wallin have continued on the Kim Hagelind box and moved forward from theĀ octogon shape to a diamond shape. From there we made it more asymmetrical by adding a few corners.

Our new and more asymmetrically shaped box from three different angles.

We talked to Mr. Hagelind about the new design and he told us he loved it. Futhermore he told us he would like to have a stone pattern on the outside of the box.

Colors and patterns

Our original idea was to have the outside of the box in matte black and enamel black and the inside in a white/black grid pattern. The pattern would be created to make the inside look less flat and give more depth.

We will make a larger prototype with a printed stone pattern and from there decide how we should move on with the design.

Logotype

We came up with the idea of using Mr. Hagelind’s signature as the logotype, which he liked. He sent us a picture of it and we modified it to make the edges sharper.
