Chambres – Print test and prototypes

Welcome to week two of our packaging design project for Chambres. In this post you can read all about the start of our exciting project and see a fraction of all the prototypes we’ve made.

Print test and mood board

We started this project last week with getting to know our brand. To get a clear image of Chambres we created a mood board, where we tried to capture the feeling we want to communicate. We settled for using vintage styled imagery with a modern twist. In the process we agreed with the designer to use deep, jewel tones with a metallic finish. These colors will compliment her colletction beautifully. We also got to use the huge and super expensive printer called Mimi. She worked her magic for us and here’s the result:

Prototypes and progress

During the second week we’ve devoloped a pattern using a detail from the garment our designer sent us. We’ve also folded loads of prototypes in different shapes and sizes. We’ve now narrowed it down to three different models; a paper bag, a gift bag and a hexagon box. Hopefully the teachers will like these ideas as much as we do. I guess we’ll find out later today when we’re going to pitch our ideas. Here’s a picture of what we have so far:

During the week we’ve also worked on a logotype. We’re not quite there yet but we’re slowly approaching perfection. Geniuses at work!(?)
