Svala Packaging Prototypes

Last week we had teacher feedback on the ideas we had come up with from the mood board. They liked our ideas with bringing the nature materials on the packaging. This week we have been developing packaging prototypes and sketches.

Our main package is going to be a box with a slide function, inside it’s going to be two trays – one for the clothes and one with room for a look book with Svalas new collection. This box is going to work as a “Limited Edition”. We’re making a second, more simple box, for regular packaging.

At first, we wanted bronzed details on the outside of the box, but Svala rather wanted silver because they make jewelry and details in silver. The silver details didn’t look as good as we thought so we skipped that idea. Instead we decided to make the outside plain black with Svalas logotype printed in transparent enamel paint. Inside the trays, we want to print a nature pattern, so the customers get a feeling of the nature in the north of Sweden. The idea we liked the most is a reindeer skin print.

Here are some examples of our packaging prototypes of Svalas range:

We made a mini version of the limited edition package so it would be easy for us to modify and make changes if needed. The real size of the package is about 30×36 cm.

Have a nice weekend!
