Chambres Lingerie – Prototypes, prototypes and prototypes

The third week of our collaboration with Chambres Lingerie has been all about prototypes, prototypes and even more prototypes.

Prototypes and mistakes

We’ve been optimizing our design solutions all week to create designs that both will complement each other and the lingerie. We decided to go with the hexagon box, a paper bag and a giftbag. The paper bag caused us a lot of trouble because of a typo in the template. One side was a centimeter longer than the other. It took us almost a week to discover the mistake. Oops!

Studio photography

Yesterday we learned how to photograph products. With the correct lighting and camera settings you can make miracles. And this morning we put our new found knowledge at work. Pretending to be a professional photographer and stylist we worked it in the studio singing this song. Yeah, we’re fabulous.

Late last night we finally made a hexagon box with a lid that fit like a glove. The problem with this box is that you have to fold it just so, otherwise it won’t match up. After about ten failures, countless paper cuts and hours of frustration, we finally succeeded in making a decent box that we could use for our examination next week.

One thing we’ve learned this week is that practice makes perfect!
