IDAG goes Ida Hillebjörk Design

From templates to models!

Week three has come to an end and it has consisted a lot of work. First of all we have chosen to exculde the brand name IDAG and instead change it into Ida Hillebjörk Design. This has been done due to the fact that there is already a registered trademark, of the same name, at Bolagsverket.

For the rest of the week we have put a great deal of time on the making of our shoebox prototype for Ida Hillebjörk Design. The process is long and until now we have been testing a variety of types and sizes, but we have now come up with the final model and we feel satisfied with the result. Further down in the post you can see the progress of the prototype. We almost switched out the entierly model for a new one, but kept the thought about the graphic design. One idea with the new model is that the customer does not need any bag for the shoebox. You can just throw it up on you shoulder, since the shoebox is like a bag itself.

When we were heading the right direction with the prototype, we continued working on some logo ideas that we have been sketching on. We did some test prints of the first solutions, took another review and then we deselected solutions until we only had three left. The three remaining options we printed again, on a material that is quite similar with the one we have chosen for our shoebox cover, bags and tags. The prints resulted in some quite nice tags that we brought to the tutoring with the teachers, just to get some more feedback on them.

Our final task for this week was to give our lecturer, Mattias Bodell, a call about kraft paper, the actual material that we are going to print on. Like the icing on the cake, he may very likely help us in getting hold of it. So, we can now enjoy the weekend with a clear conscience!

Enjoy the weekend guys!
