A Change of Design

Since last week we have come a long way in our design by looking at it from another point of view.  In Monday’s tutorial we presented the results of last week; prototypes and illustrations. On the day after the tutorial we had a class in product photographing, how to change the light in our favor, and other things that will make the package look it’s best. Except from the photographing and the lectures this week, we have put time in illustrations and pictograms. We made them minimalistic and easy to understand, regardless where you’re from, it has been a struggle to make them cooporate both in the practial way and design.

A change of mind

Our prototype was close to finished when our tutor came up to the studio and gave us some feedback. It resulted in a change of mind about our design. The problems in the design was that we packed air; it should be smaller and sleeker. The concept was to make the first aid kit as an interior detail; something practical you would like to decorate your home with. Because of this, it makes sense to make it smaller, as well as the legal, ethical and enviromental reasons, not to pack air (we wouldn’t want our hero to break the law).

And what to do next? We need it to give our hero a new look, before the examination we have in just a few days. Who needs sleep?
