Recurring texture struggles

Last week we talked about the struggle of making a texture similar to bark for our Timberman larvae. This week we have continued with this and applying it to our raw product. Making a proportional pattern to the wasabi snacks and the raw product has become more and more important, to have a distinct connection between the products. We finally came up with a solution, we think…

Experimenting with size and shapes and texture.

Experimenting with size and proportion. Both would be for our raw product, despite what the text on the left says…

Closing mechanism

Now we really need to make a perfect closing mechanism for both boxes. The wasabi larvae needs to be resealable since our goal is to make our target group have it in their gym bag. The raw product on the other hand, is only meant for a one time use (but with the possibility to reuse as for instance a flower pot!) so its construction might be easier to figure out.

In the studio

This week we were in the studio and took some photos of our work in progress for the wasabi snack. It’s great to see how lovely the shape turns out in the images, with shading and form. Here’s a sample.

Problem with printing on creased texture

We are still struggling with how to use print on our designs, because of the structure, so our plan now is to make a label to wrap around the box, with all the copy. But since you would rip it off when you open the package we would need something more underneath that at least has our brand name, Naturligtvis, on it. But we have been working super hard this week with the designs and today we printed some of it on the Mimaki printer, which was so cool! And despite every setback we are so super happy with how nicely our designs are coming together.
