Periferi – Time to test print

A lot of things has happened since last week. The days are now so much longer since we started to work between 8AM and 10PM, so we get much more done during the longer days. And we have had a better creative flow when we had more time to work.

Test print at Mimaki-printer

There were a few struggles with getting all of the layers to correlate in our document before printing it on Mimaki. With a lot of help and encouragement from Micke we kind of got our prints the way we wanted, although we forgot to mark the white text on our packages. Thankfully, we had extra time in the end of the lesson so we could do a second print with only the text.

Finally, we were happily surprised of how good our colors on our logos looked on the prints. It was nice to really get that neon green that we wanted. We have chosen the typeface River Drive for the logo for our raw product and it is called Limelarv, and is neon green. The typeface Gotham for all the body text on the packagings. And the typeface Kanji is for the logo Choklad Praliner on the other product. The typefaces also worked great which was a huge relief since we had not tried them on Mimaki before.
