Developing your existing work to be even better is one of the hardest parts of designing. This weeks struggle for Nut Bug have been to develop our packagings to get perfect!
The Nut Bug pattern
The most important part of our packaging is our beloved hand drawn pattern. It is hard to get the perfect size and fill all the gaps to get the perfect whole. We have been pushing and pulling, adding and subtract parts to reach the perfect pattern. We are not there yet, but we will very soon.
Packaging design
We wanted to get the Nut Bug packing for our primary commodity to look similar to a packaging for nuts since it will be our competitors. We want to stand out from the other nuts but not too much since it could scare the customers a bit. The difference will be that our will look more luxury, healthy and ecological and will be made in cardboard. We decided that the bottom of the snacks packaging should be in black since we thought it looks more luxury and premium than the other colors we thought of.
Typography corrections
On our packaging we are using three different fonts to get contrast and to be consistent. We only use sanserifs since they are easy to read and goes well with our design. We wanted to have fonts that are smooth and thick so it will be easy to read from far away and to make the typography to look its best we need to make some tracking and kerning.
