Four down, one to go

We are on the final stretch now.

Most of this week has been spent making, testing and refining the templates for our designs, trying out the techniques we need for the final assembly, and reading a LOT of tutorials on book-binding.

Turns out choosing a design that incorporates many of the difficulties from both bookmaking and packaging design has some downsides. Because of this, we must admit there have been some setbacks which required revisions, and sadly some test-prints which also did not come out quite as we wanted.Package covering first print

That said it has been a lot of fun as well, and it’s certainly been a learning experience. And with the final week now coming up, we are finally starting to feel confident in the format we have ended up with and the design which we have chosen.

All that remains now is assembling the final products, and of course the final presentation of them.

So until next week, wish us luck.

Note: Sorry for the late post, we got a bit caught up at the end of last week and so I ended up forgetting to actually post this on the right day. But better late than never.
