Final Drafts for the packaging and bags for Malin Henningson

Past week

During the week we’ve been out shopping for materials such as laces and still trying to figure out how to seal the jewelry box and we finally came up with a solution! We have also been printing on the universities Mimaci printer so now we have most of our final products complete and ready for the big presentation on next Friday. This week has been alot of work , shopping around and redesigning again and again to iron out all of the wrinkles in our designs, we’ve made tags , took photos edited photos and talking about the results of our printing.

Pre-pitch and upcoming

Today we’ve been testing our pitch towards our teachers to get feedback and now we are really looking forward to the real thing, for now we will take a well deserved weekend off and resume work on monday to put the final touches to the packaging and pitch ideas. We’ve got a timeslot to print out the final package on monday and we feel that after our recent printing haps and mishaps we’re set to print,cut and fold the very last package. Besides the actual package we have developed hang-tags and other promotion materials and if space allows we will print them out on the mimaci for the final pitch as well.

Final thoughts

At the moment of writing we are totally spent, staying at school til’ midnight folding and refolding but we’re confident the work has paid off and Project Henningsson is right where we want it , this is something we can really stand behind as designers. The package has a exclusive look and robust feel and we’re excited to show Malin Henningson all of our hard work and receive her thoughts on what we have done. Next friday seems so close and we still have alot to do but this is the home stretch.
