Fresh and young, practical and healthy

Our scenario is a first aid kit that is easy to carry with you in your everyday life. The target group is young people aged 18-25. We believe the kit should be more portable to make the target group want to carry the kit with them all the time. Our thoughts on the kit is that it should be able to fit in a handbag and be easy to carry around.

Monday 13th October: We started making a moodboard by choosing three keywords that should represent our product. The words we chose are fresh and young, practical and healthy. The moodboard should include inspiration pictures, such as packages, colours, fonts, patterns etc, related to the keywords.

Tuesday 14th October: This day we made a prototype to bring to the teacher guidance. At first we thought we should make a two-part kit so it would be possible to carry only the most important one. At the guidance we were told to make the kits stick together, since the assignment is to make one kit. We discussed the chosen scenario and got feedback on our prototype, which resulted in the making of a new prototype. Our thought was to make an even smaller and more practical package than the previous one.

How should we market our product? Our thoughts are that the first aid kit needs a makeover to appeal to young people. We think this requires a change of attitude and this is something we will be investigating how to do. Our thoughts are that the product should be sold at Åhléns, Clas Ohlson and Apoteket.
