Prototype on the way

We are currently working very hard with finishing the prototype for Wednesday’s presentation. Since last time we wrote, a lot has happened.

Meeting with our teachers

On Monday we had a meeting with our teachers. We brought the prototype we were working on as well as ideas for a marketing campaign we are putting together. There we once again received feedback on what to think about. We learnt that we should be thinking more simply than we had previously done and not to over-package the products. The teachers seemed to like our marketing ideas and the feedback we received was very good.

Reshaping the prototype

After the guidance we started with thinking through some of the details with the box and what we wanted to change. We decided to add a a sort of grid system to the inside of the box. This is built up of walls that are separating some of the products from each other. We did this in order to add more structure and stability to the box, so that the products inside aren’t flying around all over the place.

Aside from working on the physical box we have also worked a lot graphically with the layout of the outside as well as the inside. We have also worked hard with finishing the illustrations that are describing how to use the products and how to give appropriate CPR.

The next step

We are going to continue working with finishing the prototype. After that we are going to work on the marketing campaign and preparing for the presentation. We are also planning on making a small booklet with information on the products, so that has to be finished as well.

Until next time,
