Hi everyone!

After a few intense and exhausting weeks, we have now completed the first part of the examination and we’re getting closer to the end of this course. We feel like our motivation is renewed and we’re ready for the final week.

Examination and feedback

During this week we have been finishing our prototype and we also pitched our idea at the first examination. We received a lot of useful feedback, which we will have in mind when we continue perfecting the prototype for next Friday, which will be the final examination.

The feedback from the teachers consisted mostly of minor things that needs to be adjusted for example font sizes and colors. As for the presentation, they suggested more product pictures, less text and that we should highlight certain parts to make the pitch more selling. After receiving these pointers, we feel like we’re on the right path.

Marketing our product

We decided to make two posters in order to market our packaging idea, thinking that these could be displayed at airports. One shows a checklist with the question “Har du packat allt?”. We hope that this will get the travelers attention and convince them to buy our product because it’s a necessity when traveling. The second poster features our tag line “Olyckan tar inte semester”, to remind that accidents happens easily. Both posters also shows our product and logotype. There is still some work to be done execution-wise but we really lilke the idea we’ve come up with.

The remaining days

The upcoming week will consist of perfecting the prototype as well as practicing our pitch. In addition to that we’ll also be creating a poster for a vernissage, where we will show our product. The last thing to do is a design manual, which will describe all design elements that we’ve used. Like fonts, colors, strokes etc. Now we have a few days ahead of us and we plan on being productive and making the most of them.
