Looking back

When we started with this project we were excited to learn how packaging design works both in theory and in reality. One thing we realized quickly was that it takes a lot of time and effort to produce a fully working package and design. It comes down to details and millimeters. Making a package is a long process including everything from sketching, measuring and printing to illustrating, typographing and assembling prototypes.

Lessons learned

If we could redo this project there is a few things we would take into account. Number one being time consumption, everything takes longer to get done than expected. Another thing is the need for organization. Measurements, documents, sketches etc. should be easy to find and clearly named, it get’s confusing otherwise. The last thing we’ve learned, is that trying out alternatives and solutions all through the process really pays off in the end.

The packaging result

Despite some ups and downs along the way, we’re happy with the way our First Aid – vacation kit turned out. We have put a lot of work into this and we feel like our idea and vision have come to life in the best way possible. We would like to thank Cederroth for this opportunity and we hope you all will enjoy the final result at the pitch and exhibition tomorrow.
