The last bonjour & photos of the final package

Bonjour!

Wow, this is unbelievable! We are finally done with everything! Our First Aid Kit is done, our design manual is done and the pitch is complete. This is such a relief and we can’t really understand that our course is now over. We have both worked so hard during these couple of weeks and especially since last week, when we managed to re-design our package (You can read more about that in the last post, here).

We have learned so much through this journey. From doing a easy sketch, a design plan and the complete packaging. Measuring, cutting, creasing, gluing, printing(yet again) and measuring. It is actually worth mentioning twice because it was for sure the hardest part of all. We’re still not really sure about making the right measurements! Another thing that we absolutely learned is working together as a team and doing our best. We have also learned to divide the work between us two, to work more effectively. This really has been the key to our work as a team. We really have been through a hell of a roller coaster and especially since last Friday when we decided to re-design our entire package. At that point we really had to make a plan: how to get as much work done as possible but also consider how much time we had left and how much we REALLY could do in the short days that were left.

The new package is a colorful yet clean design that we are both proud of. One of the factors that makes this package design special to us is the fact that we had to work so hard to get it done! It was a trip. A crazy, fun and hard trip. This package design is very different from our first one, we actually call it the 2.0. We are very pleased with the pattern and the logotype, when we look at the package we think that they fit together like a baguette and cream cheese. The perfect combination that really fulfills our dreams!

Thank you for reading and following the journey of the communicative packaging design course. We have now accomplished the task of creating a First Aid Kit. It was awesome!
