Week three–Pitch and form ideas

Hello!

Hope everybody had a fun and inspirational week! This week have been filled with a lot of studying and exam-doing which have resulted in that we haven’t had as much time as earlier weeks to really focus on our product and packaging design.

The result of this slow week is that we don’t have as much to write about as usual, but we will try to go in to as much detail as possible below.

One big thing that we have done is that we have chosen our logotype and color-palette for the design. We will show the final result below to give you reader an visual representation of our final result.

We picked this simple but yet sophisticated logotype form because it represent us as a company with its form and the typography, but also the color adds another dimension to the design. We will change the color depending on what product its on, but the colors will match in its tropes and tones.

Another thing we did this week was to focus on our first pitch! We didn’t know we were supposed to do said pitch this week, but we tried to make a fun and clearly formulated presentation as possible! The hard thing for us was that we have two products that we want to represent as equals, not by-products of each other and we tried to solve this by giving the products the exact same amount of presentation time.

Also mock-up and prototype producing for the jar idea has been our main focus for this week when it comes to working on our packaging design. We thought it would be best if we focused on just the jar idea because it has a plethora off different design elements that the plant-idea doesn’t have. By doing this we focus our work-load, we narrow down the chance of structural confusion and we also give the design the best possibilities to actually work!

That all we have to say for this time! We look forward to updating you guys next week on our process and possibly future changes when it comes to our product and packaging design! Have a nice weekend!
