Welcome back!

Last week we didn’t write any post. We have no valid excuse.

We where busy prepearing for our pre-exame pitch and still hard at work with our prototype.

The prototype phase for us have been a long and complicated story. We really wanted to prefect the diagonal line that was formed when the package was open, but we havent quite figured out how to open the box without the lid catching the top of the lamp holder. Our goal is to present the package in its current state and fix the issue with the lid next week.

Regaring the picth, we prepared a 5 miunte presentation of our idés, concepts and progress so far. We segmented it into a timeline starting with our visit at the recycling station and then explaning our inital thoughts and idéas regarding the assignment. We then presented the materials and the diffrent products that we picked out. We explained that our first concept of a lamp beeing made out re-used material and a lamp shade made out of the packaging had been revised and continued to present our finished lamp and the packaging prototype with the diagonal line. We got some good feedback from our examiners and was told to make up our minds regarding product name and typography.

Our goal for next week is to have a functional prototype with a product name on it.
