Hello Again!
Here we are again one week later. Many things have happened in our process, we have changed a few things that we will describe right here.
Monday: We had a lot of questions about the making of a own lip balm so we searched for information. We also started with the moodboard who has deadline on Friday.
Tuesday: We visited a shop located in the center of Sundsvall and asked questions about the making of lip balm. We got some very helpful information and got forward in the thinking process.
Wednesday: The most important thing we got done was to order the products for the making of a lip balm. We ordered beeswax, almond oil, coloring and some containers for the different products. In the RELIPS packaging we will have all these products plus two containers (for the lip balms) in each box. So when you order our DIY-box you will get products who is enough to make two lip balms. The thought is that you can create a lip balm with a friend or a family member.
Thursday: Now we had to make a prototype of a packaging, while the products transports. On the picture down below you can see our sketch of many different styles for our packaging.
Friday: Today we talked to our teachers about our product and plans and showed them the moodboard. They thought that we had some great plans but also other things to work on. The cosmetic industri have many rules and it’s very hard competition between other companies. Lucky for us, we are special, there’s no product like ours in the trade. You can’t buy anything like our product in the physical store, witch makes us stand out.
Next week we will look up rules about cosmetics, can we call our lip balm organic or not? Maybe we will visit some shops and ask questions or we will search on the internet for information.
