Iwai-goto

In spring, we have graduation  and entrance ceremonies. These are very very happy events.

The parents, relatives, and teachers all celebrate  our graduation and entrance.

Because these are our starts for new life.

In graduation days, we usually feel so sad that we remember many happy memories about our friends and school life.

But, the end is the start.

We will be  hopeful  of our life in the future.

So the sad face also will change into a smile before long.

It is like blooming flowers gradually.

Spring is very emotional season.

In Japan, we sometimes have “SEKIHAN” on the celebration days.

Sekihan is  rice dish made by steaming glutinous rice and boiled red beans.

Red beans turn the rice red.

In Japan red has been believed to protect people from evil for long time.

This is a special celebratory national dish for happy occasions.

Sekihan is sometimes prepared as a celebratory gift.

So, we will propose the package of Sekihan as a gift.

The concept is  “Blooming smile”.

Family  and relatives will present this for graduation boys or girls.

The first design point is the shape like a flower.

In spring many flowers are blooming.

It seems like they celebrate the start of our new life.

The second  point is the color.

White and red are used as celebratory colors in Japan. We always use white and red for happy ceremonies.

Also, Gold and Silver are often used as celebratory colors.

The third point is the way of opening the package.

The top of this package is tied with the special cord.

These ceremonial paper cord are called “Mizuhiki”.

In Japan Mizuhiki is used with celebratory gift in weddings, birth and so on .

When this package is opening,it is like that  the petals are spreading.

Then Sekihan comes in sight gradually.

That will be beautiful celebratory national dish.

Even though this is the small package, there are lots of one‘s hope for one’s future.

We hope that both sending and giving person’s smiles will bloom like spring flower “Sakura”.
