Home party

Now, in Japan, South Korean TV drama and actors  are very popular. South Korean foods are very popular, too.

So, we think about package of South Korean food in Home Party.

It is one of our member, Heo Jiyon’s national dish.

We think the target is women(age…30〜40).

They love Korean Actors such as Bae Yong Joon, Jang DongGun, and so on.   Do you know?

The scene is Home party.

Japanese women enjoy eating South Korean foods and talking about Bae Yong Joon, Jang DongGun…….. in Home party.

I chose the dish as royal Korean food.

These are made up of dishes that are healthy and were enjoyed by kings in the past.

The most well known are Kimchi, Zoun and Namul.

Kimchi are kind of like pickles.

Zoun are made up of various vegetables and flour.

Namul are dishes made by par-broiling vegetables in sesame oil and flavoring with salt.

Don’t you agree that you might feel like a queen when you eat these foods?

The beauty of the dish is only for a moment because once we start eating it, its beauty disappears.

I think this is the same maintaining one’s elegance.

In other words, the design concept was to talk about Korea among middle-aged women who love Korea and not lose the elegance of women.

I made a design by making most of the overall design and the traditional factors of Korea.

Octagons were always known as the perfect shape and are the symbol for good fortune.

Though it’s not a complete octagon, I made an image of it.

I also designed the package using the traditional patterns of Korea.

When you lack at it from straight ahead, it shows the [Taegeugki] which is the symbol of Korea.

I surrounded it with vegetables.

The patterns on the side show hopes for health and good fortunes geometrically.

The bet and flower that decorate the corners were also popular among women in the past.

I tried adding traditional Korean elements in the design.

Next is the shape.

In order to elegantly and cleanly eat the dish, the rice needed to be naturally collected together.

That’s why we came up with the ladder-style package.

By eating the lunch in a long and narrow shape, the rice will naturally collect at the bottom.

Another feature of this package is that it can be opened and closed by twisting it.

It’s kind of like a flower bud blossoming and closing.

I think it would be good to use when closing the bento for a while talking about Korea.

This ladder type package can be placed inside the two flower motifs that are seen on both sides of the bento.

The lid can also be ripped off because of its perforations.

Don’t you think it would be fun to have a house party with the bento I made?

Lastly, I hope that there will be many people that love Korea forever.
