Pattern-color-and-horse-bonanza

Bonjour! It’s finally Friday and this week has been very effective. We have been working a lot on illustrations and colors that will be printed on the packaging. The thing we are most excited to tell you about is that our main design for our First-Aid-Kit is done. The colors we have chosen for the pattern is four shades of light purple, colors that represent feminine energy and creativity. The pattern is built up with horses and foals all over and we will feature this on the outside of the package. On the inside we will pick one of the shades and make it come again on the outside of the boxes in our little drawer.

Our palette of colors is mostly in pastels of green, orange, blue, pink and of course purple. We also have white, black, grey and actually a quite big range of colors in our illustrations. All of which, as we said, are pastels – except for the black and white.

On Tuesday we got a introduction from our teacher Kevin Gater about Product Photographing, how to get the perfect lighting and setting on the camera. We shoot a few photos of the First Aid Kit, that we will be publish down below. The pictures we shot shows how our prototype looks at the moment, which means you will only get a sneak-peek of the final design.

Next Wednesday is the first deadline and our first pitch for the teachers and our classmates, until then we have a lot to do. We have to make a new prototype, finish the layout, make a speech and survive this task. It will not be easy, but we will do our best and we will make it. This probably means we will have to work this weekend, but hey – what else do we have to do but sleep? On Wednesday our goal is to have a package design that we can be proud of and that is worth working for.

Have a great weekend!
